Perinatal consultation for providers in Kitsap County, Seattle & across Washington

Better together: support for the people who support families.

For the concentric circles of care around growing families: pelvic floor PTs, massage therapists, naturopaths, women's health specialists, OB-GYNs, lactation consultants, pediatricians, fellow therapists, and other service providers adjacent to mental health.

Why I do this

We're interconnected people.

I believe we're better as providers, better as people, and better for our clients when we help each other integrate the whole picture: body, mind, relationships, and community. When our strengths, skills, and connections combine, families feel it.

01 · The Empowerment Pod

Let's lead integrated workshops and experiences together.

Joining where our strengths can shine.

Bring your expertise, and I'll bring mine. Together we can co-facilitate a single workshop or a whole series: psychoeducational, integrated experiences and learnings that no one of us could offer alone, so families get care that sees the whole person.

Think of it as a pod: a small circle of providers from different corners of perinatal care, teaching and supporting side by side.

What this can look like

  • Co-facilitated workshops or series, circles, and retreats, like the Matrescence Mini Retreats I co-lead with a perinatal yoga teacher

  • Psychoeducation woven into what you already teach: body, mind, relationships, and community

  • Trauma-informed practices for your space, your words, and your touch

  • Building a local referral network so fewer families fall through the cracks

02 · Consultation for your perinatal work

One-off or ongoing consultations, shaped around you.

Your clients, your practice, your questions.

Sometimes you need a thought partner. In one session or several, we'll work through your needs, hopes, barriers, and resources in your work with perinatal clients.

Every package includes a customized process outline: a clear, written plan you can keep coming back to.

What we can cover

  • Recognizing perinatal mood and anxiety symptoms, and when and how to refer

  • Talking with clients about hard feelings, loss, or a difficult birth

  • Trauma-informed adjustments to your sessions and space

  • Mapping local and online resources for your clients

  • Your customized process outline, included in the package

03 · For providers on their own perinatal journey

Navigating your own leave while holding space for others.

You take care of families. Who's taking care of you?

For mental health providers and other helpers: consultation on the logistics before and after your leave, and on the emotional dynamics of being both a person and a provider through it all. I've navigated multiple leaves and returns to practice myself. I learned a lot through consultation, supervision, and plenty of trial and error, and I'd love to share it and walk alongside you.

Whether you're planning a leave, in the thick of it, or finding your way back, you don't have to figure it out alone.

What we might work on

  • Pre-leave logistics: caseload, coverage, boundaries, and telling your clients

  • Protecting your own recovery and bonding time, without the guilt

  • Post-leave logistics: pacing your return and rebuilding a schedule that fits your new life

  • Holding clients' big feelings while you're in your own big season

  • The emotional dynamics of being a person and a provider: identity, guilt, grief, and joy

Consultation is professional support and coaching. It isn't psychotherapy, and it isn't clinical supervision toward licensure.

For referring professionals

Referring a client to me

Clinical focus

I work with mothers and gestational parents throughout pregnancy, postpartum, and the early parenting years. I'm a generalist in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, with a particular focus on anxiety. Common reasons providers refer:

  • Postpartum anxiety, intrusive thoughts, or depression

  • A difficult or traumatic birth

  • Pregnancy or infant loss

  • Identity shifts, overwhelm, and burnout in early parenthood

  • Relationship strain after baby

Approach

Relational psychotherapy informed by attachment theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and psychodynamic theory, with somatic and trauma-informed care.

Ideal referral fit

  • Clients who are physically in Washington State and comfortable with virtual sessions

  • Clients who can attend weekday morning sessions (currently Tuesday through Thursday)

  • Clients open to private pay. I'm out-of-network, and Thrizer can bill their insurance directly if they qualify.

May not be the right fit if

  • Your client needs in-person therapy

  • Your client needs a higher level of care, such as active psychosis, acute suicidality, or medical detox

  • Your client needs an in-network provider or Medicaid

If I'm not the right fit, I'll gladly help find someone who is.

Collaboration

With your client's written consent, I'm happy to coordinate care and stay in touch with you about shared goals.
